Desert Oasis High School – Advanced Orchestra (Blocked with Orchestra Ensemble—Orchestra Symphony)

This one-year course is designed for students who have successfully completed an intermediate orchestra course and/or demonstrated the required skills by audition. Areas of emphasis include advanced concepts in music reading, specific performance techniques of the instrument being studied, tone production, and intonation. Instructional practices incorporate integration of diversity awareness including appreciation of all cultures and their important contributions to society. The appropriate use
