Crosstown High School – Wellness Lifetime Wellness

This class at Crosstown High is designed to practice and develop skills in activities that will help students maintain total wellness throughout their entire life. Our goal is that by the end of the year students will improve their total wellness levels through education of nutrition, the body’s primary systems, exercise training principles, mindfulness, and activities designed to increase current levels of fitness. Students will be introduced to lifelong wellness activities designed to increase their likelihood of exercising and being healthy in the future. Students will understand the benefits that regular exercise and proper nutrition can provide for a person’s mental, physical, and social health. We will also cover first aid and safety, as well as substance use and abuse.
