Crosstown High School – Graphic Design I

This course is a studio project-orientated class that will explore design through computer programs. These programs will include Adobe Illustrator© and Adobe Photoshop©. We will learn proper graphic design techniques that will culminate in a small digital portfolio. Projects may include: logo designs, advertisement designs, photograph manipulation, illustrations and creation of graphics. Students learn basic computer operating, terminology, peripheral use, and file management/integration. The creative and technical process of project management is taught with an emphasis placed on concept to completion planning. Instruction covers typography, design elements and color management, scanning, and may include hand-drawing or hand-made techniques. This fulfills the Fine Arts graduation credit r
