Crosstown High School – Music Production I, II, III

This class will introduce students to the uses, concepts, techniques, and terminology of computing through music applications. The students will gain experience with current hardware and software for music sequencing, synthesis, and music performance practice. This year-long course is also designed as an introduction to music fundamentals, notation, and theory through music technology such as MIDI and digital recording. Students will also be learning basic business practices used in the music industry, and how production concepts can be applied to many career paths and artistic disciplines, as well as, self-reflection, self-expression, confidence building, and character development .
