Crosstown High School – Art : Studio Art

This course is an introduction to the methods of studio practices, including research, use of materials, critique, and presentation of work. The primary goals of the course are to raise awareness of diverse artists and artworks, strengthen observational proficiency, and promote creative problem-solving through technical and conceptual challenges. Students will apply the elements and principles of art to produce work in the following areas: drawing, painting, mixed media, and collage. This fulfills the Fine Arts graduation credit requirement.
