Corona Vista High – Green Building Design 1a-1b

This is a year course for students who have successfully completed Intro to Engineering and Architecture 1A-1B and Architecture Design 1A-1B. The student will design buildings to the National Green Building Standard, the International Residential Code, and the U.S. Green Building council LEED standards utilizing sustainable building practices. Students will be introduced to industry standard software that will allow them to more efficiently design the buildings and extract critical data utilized in energy efficiency calculations. Students will produce a set of construction documents and perform basic Title 24 Energy Calculations of the buildings(s).
Prerequisites: Intro to Engineering and Architecture 1A-1B
