The purpose of this course is to provide a foundation for students to solve problems using functions, symbolic reasoning and mathematical modeling. This course includes the study of linear, quadratic, and exponential functions and their related transformations, equations, and associated solutions in both mathematical and real-world situations.

In this course, students will study functions through analysis and application that includes explorations of patterns and structure, number and algebraic methods, and modeling from data.

In this course, students will broaden their knowledge of variability and statistical processes. Students will study sampling and experimentation, categorical and quantitative data, probability and random variables, inference, and bivariate data.

The purpose of this course is to explore many advanced mathematical models which are often used in science, engineering, and other career fields.

This course is a rigorous college-level calculus course leading to the College Board Advanced Placement AB Calculus Exam and to possible college credit for one semester.
