Through the use of a variety of anchor and mentor texts and supplemental works (novel, short stories, poems, articles, etc.), students will further develop their ability to interpret and analyze literary and information selections. Students continue to develop more precise literary analysis skills, and write argument pieces, focusing on the skills of topic development, organization, diction/syntax and the use of textual evidence.
