This course encompasses a variety of different activities based around aerobics. Enjoy the benefits yoga and core training can provide by participation in this class. Areas of focus will be on low impact activities to improve overall flexibility, strength, core and cardiovascular endurance. Reduction of stress and increased ability to focus is an added benefit that typically coincides with yoga practice. This course also introduces a self-paced walking program as a lifelong fitness activity that maintains and enhances physical fitness and well-being. Provides basic information and tools needed to understand, organize, plan, and implement a physical fitness program that features walking as the primary activity. Class format will be developed towards training and testing the five health related components of physical fitness (cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility and body composition). Emphasis will be placed on improving fitness, having fun, and learning about healthy living.
