Students will learn to create ceramic works which emphasize individual expression using pinch, slab, and coil methods. Students will also explore various glazing methods and techniques, practice responding to art using art vocabulary, and engage in peer art critiques to foster artistic growth. Healthy studio habits are paramount to a successful class, and students will have daily opportunity to practice them. Time permitting, students will also learn the wheel method. No previous art experience necessary. All students are welcome.
