This course emphasizes the necessary skills to provide the student with a foundation leading to understanding artistic perception, creative expression, historical and cultural context(s); aesthetic valuing and connections, relations, applications of the visual arts. Students learn the tools, techniques, materials, technology and application of a variety of art forms. The art elements and principles of design serve as a foundation for each unit.
