In this specialized course, students gain foundational knowledge of the apparel and accessories industry while developing the skills needed for successful employment in apparel-related businesses. Students build general marketing skills applicable across the industry, as well as specialized competencies unique to fashion marketing. Course content includes personal selling, sales promotion, purchasing, physical distribution, market planning, and product and service technology. Students also apply relevant academic skills in mathematics, science, English, and history/social science. Computer and technology applications that support fashion marketing are integrated throughout the course.
