Briar Woods High – Building Trades II (80112)

Building Trades II teaches students advanced skills in masonry, carpentry, electricity, and plumbing. The class prepares students to synthesize these valuable skills to build or repair residential structures, using a variety of materials and tools. Students will also learn current residential building codes associated with the trades. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills. High-quality work-based learning (HQWBL) will provide experiential learning opportunities related to student's career goals and/or interests, integrated with instruction, and performed in partnership with local businesses and organizations.
