Blake High School – Theatre Improvisation
Mar 2026 · 2nd Semester
Students learn to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally; develop and build critical listening and collaborative skills and think and solve problems quickly and appropriately on the spot, which transfers well to academic, career, and social arenas. Through collaboration, communication, and performance activities, students engage in improvisation as a stand-alone art form and as an acting methodology. Public performances may serve as a culmination of specific instructional goals. Students may be required to at- tend and/or participate in rehearsals and performances outside the school day to support, extend, and assess learning in the classroom.
