Academic skills are put to practical use in Culinary I. Students will learn culinary skills and techniques for proper preparation and cooking. Other skills include proper measuring, safety and sanitation, & preparing simple recipes. Topics include basic nutrition and its relationship to good health. Food preparation is related to each topic of study. Students will gain fundamental skills that they can use for the rest of their lives, whether in a home kitchen or working in the restaurant industry.
