This civics course studies federal and state governments and their constitutions. The purpose is to instill a basic knowledge and appreciation for our representative form of government and its development. It will enable the students to think about government, paying attention to related current events. Students will acquire knowledge of their responsibility as a citizen. Additionally, students will learn interpersonal social-emotional skills related to being a successful member of one's community. The course's modifi ed curriculum aligns with grade-level standards and provides activities at student instructional levels.
