American High – Yoga

This course is designed to safely and accessibly introduce students to the basic postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods of yoga. Students will explore how to apply what they learn in yoga class to help them at home, in school, and with friends. As students experience the benefits of stretching, moving, and breathing freely, they will increase their ability to relieve built up stress, learn to relax, and ultimately get more out of day-to-day life. The aim of the course is to promote vibrant health in both mind and body.
Prerequisites: Completion of PE 9 and PE 10 required.
