Aloha High School – Electrical 1

Prerequisite (s): None Transportation to BHS Campus provided The Electrical Technology CTE Option Program located at Beaverton High School is designed for students interested in pursuing a career as a residential electrician. Students travel to Beaverton High School for two class periods to participate in the program, with district provided transportation. In the first year of the program students will learn the skills to understand and implement the application of electrical systems. This BOLI-approved pre-apprenticeship program provides an intensive overview of the fundamentals of electricity and electrical maintenance, including math, inspection, safety, quality, electrical systems, and code compliance. Students will explore a wide range of career opportunities and interact with local industry partners to gain insight into workplace expectations and postsecondary options. Successful completion of year 2 will award students with the Higher Education & Career Path Skills required course for graduation.
