Aloha High School – Weight Training 1

Weight Training 1 builds on the fitness concepts learned in PE 1 and is best suited for novice or experienced lifters seeking to improve their muscular strength and endurance as it relates to weight lifting and physical enhancement. Students will develop and build on their individual skill set to increase strength, power, speed, and aerobic capacity. This class will incorporate core and Olympic style lifts, agility training, conditioning, and sport specific training. This class can be repeated for elective credit. \*This course may also be offered as a zero-period (before regular school day begins) based on student interest. \*NEW (ZERO PERIOD) WEIGHT TRAINING 1 – P401X ZERO period- This class will meet Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:45-8:45. \*\*This class can be used for PE1 or PE2 credit if PE1 credit has already been earned.
