I am an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania. I have been tutoring for over 6 years now, and I have found it to be an extremely rewarding and enjoyable experience. I specialize in mathematics, particularly at the high school level, and I also have experience tutoring other subjects. I also have done SAT prep for the mathematics section of the New SAT and am very familiar with the recent changes to the exam. My belief is that everyone is capable of learning with enough time, explanation, and practice, and I hope to pass this on to all the students I work with. For this reason, I believe in teaching students how to think and problem solve, rather than just having them memorize patterns or facts.

I am a strong believer that anyone can learn anything! I attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and recently finished my Master's in Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. As a tutor, I create a space where my learners can feel empowered and safe to take on the sometimes difficult, yet often fulfilling and fun, challenge of learning new things. I practice a growth mindset philosophy, and I often say that it is okay to be wrong, it just means you haven't learned the material... yet. With patience and effective pedagogy, I strive to give my students confidence that they can learn anything they set their mind to. I'm a recent graduate of the California Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science. I was also accepted at Harvard, Princeton, MIT, and Stanford. I have a broad range of interests spanning science, math, engineering, social science, the humanities, the arts, and athletics (I also played on the Caltech basketball team). My background allows me to tutor general college prep, especially the SAT, ACT and the GRE. I love to teach analytical thinking, ranging from advanced Math and Physics to strategies for understanding literature and developing arguments.

I am no stranger to people getting tutors in order to succeed. An ambition to accomplish any academic goal was encouraged all my life; thus, I am accustomed to studying hard on top of participating in countless extra-curricular activities. I graduated highs school and received a diploma from the extremely rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, and began attending an Ivy League college, the University of Pennsylvania, in 2016. I'm starting my junior year at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I'm currently getting my degree in biology with a concentration in health and human disease, global health, and a minor in French. I love reading, traveling, learning and helping others learn! I have experience tutoring high school and elementary school students in math, science, and English and I love tutoring in each subject equally. Eventually, I see myself going to medical school and researching topics related to viral diseases which I've been interested in since a very young age. I recently graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, coursework in both the physical and natural sciences, and a GPA of 3.87. I also studied at an IB high school and graduated with the highest marks in my class.

I am a teacher and I have taught at elementary and middle schools in Boston for 4 years. I have tutored for over 7 years! I majored in education at Boston College. My favorite part of teaching is getting to know students and creating course materials that engage students to make learning fun and accessible. I mainly tutor math and Chinese. I believe that each student is fully capable of understanding material. It just depends on how the material is presented to them. My goal is to meet each student where they are at, and support them in learning the way they learn best!

I am very passionate about teaching material in a way that works with each student's personal learning needs and making sure that they understand the material at its core, not just how to answer a test question. Because I majored in Neuroscience, I have expertise in a wide range of sciences, as Neuroscience is a very interdisciplinary subject. I have also had extensive experience in Computer Science. Outside of Neuroscience, I devoted a lot of time to studying the humanities. I even started a blog my junior year as an outlet to further pursue these academic interests! As a result, I also enjoy tutoring in Literature, English, and Writing.

I am a recent graduate from Princeton University interested in using my diverse skills set to tutor middle and high school students. I have studied in both public and private institutions in New York state and I am familiar with Regents, AP, SAT and IB exams.

I am a rising senior at Duke University. I major in Computer Science and am also getting a minor in Physics. I have had experience tutoring/teaching as a teaching assistant for three classes: Intro to Databases, Electricity and Magnetism (for engineers), and Computer Network Architecture. I have had industry experience in software development as an intern for IBM and a cybersecurity analyst for TIAA. Outside of school/work, I play the piano and train with the Duke Taekwondo Club. I have a strong background in computer science, physics, and math, but I love learning about and helping students with a wide variety of subjects!

I am graduate of Brown University, where I received a degree in Economics and studied topics ranging from Computer Science and Applied Math to Literary Arts and Philosophy. I even helped create a class during my senior year, working together with other students to write a syllabus, gather reading materials, schedule guest speakers, and ultimately, present the results to an academic dean for course credit. After graduation, I moved to Hong Kong, where I worked at a a summer program at the University of Hong Kong, in partnership with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, as a Teaching Assistant in a Game Theory class for advanced middle school students. After the program ended, I traveled around Asia, visiting places in Malaysia and Vietnam before eventually returning to the American South, where, as a native North Carolinian, I feel at home. I usually prefer tutoring in subjects involving math and social sciences but I am very flexible. Outside of education, I love playing guitar and piano, and I have released music both as a solo artist and as part of a band. I also like to play disc golf and lacrosse and enjoy participating in fantasy football.

I am a rising senior at Duke University who is Pre Med and majoring in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I was born and raised in Miami FL and went to public school until college (Sunset Elementary, GW Carver Middle and Coral Reef Senior High for those from Miami). I decided to start tutoring because I would not be on this path had I not had good teachers supporting me along the way. For that reason I want to be able to help others achieve their goals without academics being a huge hurdle.

I am a sophomore at the University of Chicago pursuing a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Inequality, Social Problems, and Change. I also hold an IB diploma and particularly enjoyed my psychology and environmental systems and societies courses. I have experience tutoring students of all ages from 3-18 in Spanish, math, environmental science, essay writing, and more. I'm passionate about equitable access to education, and am currently working as an Americorps VISTA for a nonprofit devoted to environmental science education. I have been a camp counselor (and a camp kid) my whole life, and believe strongly that learning should be fun and exciting!

I am a graduate of Texas A&M University; I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology along with being a minor in Spanish. I also studied at Plano ISD in high school. As Plano ISD is recognized for its academic achievements and competitiveness, I have always been positively challenged by my curriculum and by my peers to improve and to push myself to excel. From a young age, I have always been a part of the Gifted and Talented program. Trying to challenge myself and wanting to be different, I took a risk and joined the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, a program that was not as well recognized at the time and was extremely difficult. Joining the IB program was the best decision I have taken thus far. I gained knowledge from all around world- different insights, different histories, different philosophies, different literature, etc.

I am a retired PhD chemical engineer with a desire to give back via tutoring. I focus on chemistry and physics. I like to explain complicated ideas one time, again in another way, and finish with practical examples.

I am a recent graduate of Princeton University's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. I am passionate about teaching and mentoring and have done so in multiple capacities over the last four years, including a fellowship during which I taught pre-algebraic math to a group of middle school students from traditionally underserved backgrounds in Saint Paul, MN. I am a senior majoring in Biomedical Engineering at Rice University. I have had the opportunity to work on several projects through the Institute for Global Health at Rice, and I am passionate about designing globally accessible medical devices.
