My name is Sean Slowik, and I hold a Master's in Teaching from George Fox University and a Bachelor's in History from Washington State University. With years of experience in tutoring and classroom instruction, I specialize in writing and social studies, including US History and World History.

My teaching philosophy centers on connecting the academic content to students' interests, making their learning feel engaging and relevant. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning as we go through the process. My passion for education is driven by the joy of helping students discover the fascinating narratives of history and develop their ability to express themselves through their writing skills. For extracurriculars I have experience teaching chess and public speaking strategies, further enhancing my ability to engage with students across diverse subjects.
