I am passionate about student learning in the fields of English writing, literature, and theatre. I hold a dual BA in English literature and theatre from Bowling Green State University and am working towards my MA in English at the University of Maine.

Always aiming to meet students where they are at, I do my best to scaffold new information and foster good lines of communication with those I am teaching. I believe that successful engagement with literature and written communication (and the critical thinking skills that accompany them) are vital to student success across disciplines and fields. Additionally, I have nearly 15 years of theatre experience, having been actor, crew, stage manager, director, and nearly everything in between! Though I currently teach university freshmen, I also have experience with K-12, and love working with students of all ages!

A good tutor knows that not every student loves the subject they need guidance in, and works to help the student not only achieve better grades, but to understand the importance of what they're learning. Let me help you get a leg up in your subject!
