About Me

I began tutoring in 2020, specializing in AP U.S. History, World History, and AP European History, and have continued supporting students in Mandarin Chinese since graduating from the University of California, Irvine. My expertise spans social studies, mathematics, science, and Mandarin, allowing me to connect meaningfully with learners and support them in achieving a wide range of academic goals. Understanding that academic stress can be overwhelming, I strive to incorporate engaging and enjoyable materials alongside core content to create a more relaxed and supportive learning environment. This balance not only helps lift students' moods but also enhances their ability to absorb and retain informationan essential aspect of effective tutoring, especially during high-pressure academic periods. Since 2022, I have taught core subjectsincluding History, Science, and Mathat Dream House Ewa Beach Charter School in Hawaii, where I served as both a substitute and full-time teacher. Currently, I work as a part-time teaching assistant and substitute teacher at Green Acres School, a private K8 institution in North Bethesda, Maryland. These roles have sharpened my ability to engage diverse learners, foster critical thinking, and adapt instruction to meet a broad range of academic needs.
