About Me

I hold a PhD in Neuroscience and have extensive experience teaching at the master's level. During my doctoral training, I investigated the role of mitochondrial dysfunction across multiple neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on Parkinson's disease. In parallel with my research career as a neuroscientist at a U.S. medical school, where my current work centers on endolysosomal dysfunction driven by genetic risk factors in Alzheimer's disease, I serve as an adjunct instructor of Anatomy and Physiology at Houston Community College. I am deeply passionate about teaching, both online and in the classroom, and I am committed to helping students develop strong conceptual understanding, confidence, and achieve their target academic and examination outcomes. In my teaching approach, I recognize that every student is unique, and each lesson must be tailored accordingly. My goal is to engage and inspire students, encouraging curiosity and a desire to solve problems. I believe that by encouraging this curiosity, students can embark on a journey of discovery and identify something they are passionate about.
