About Me

I graduated from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Social Work. I also graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master of Science in Psychology. I am currently a counseling student at Lamar University, where I will complete a second Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2025. I have worked extensively within the social services field, spending 11 years in state government in family and child welfare services. Along with working as a personal spiritual coach and spiritual counselor, I assist families and social systems in developing approaches to address systemic concerns within their homes and social structures. I enjoy helping students obtain degrees or studying the following subjects: social sciences, psychology, social work, counseling, sociology, philosophy, metaphysics, spirituality, government, civil rights, policy development, and economics. We all learn differently, and I am open to training and coaching students to develop those skills that will fit their particular intelligence structure, which will assist them in best retaining the information learned during our sessions. Knowledge is everything, but if we cannot see how that information translates to our lives, we have difficulties implementing that knowledge into wisdom. I enjoy reading, studying the occult, practicing yoga, and spending time with my son and two kooky tuxedo cats.
