I have been in the fire service for 45 years and now retired. I retired as fire chief and I always enjoyed helping firefighters to improve themselves. My favorite was preparing them for oral interviews. This was for new firefighters or for promotional opportunities. I also would help them take tests for different certificates (ie. EMT/Paramedic). I have taught many classes over the years dealing with fire science and emergency medicine. I have always had a strong passion to help others and I take extreme joy knowing that they have achieved their goals.
