I have been a
licensed speech language pathologist for over 30 years. I received my Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing and my Master of Science in
Speech Language Pathology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I also taught speech pathology classes for five years to undergraduate students. My background in communication has
allowed me to work with all age groups and work in many diverse environments,
including Early Intervention, Public schools, MRDD, Private practice, Hospitals and Rehabilitation
centers. My professional experience allows me to identify strengths and challenges in a
student's skillset and adapt my teaching to their best style. I ask students if they are visual learners, auditory learners, or kinesthetic learners. I can can adapt and individualize strategies to help them become more successful. I
am currently an instructor for college-level Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology. I
have been a professional tutor in the sciences for the past seven years and started working for Varsity Tutors in 2022. I love to see when
that "light-bulb moment" occurs in my students' eyes.
Graduate Degree: Miami University-Oxford - Master of Science, Speech-Language Pathology
I love to work with my family as we remodel our hundred year old farmhouse. I love to cook from the garden, preserve food, and use herbs in culinary and healing recipes. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I have worked and lived outside of the US.
