I have a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Hunter College. I have been a healthcare executive for over 30 years and have directed several departments including IT, Accounting, Purchasing, Facilities, Architecture & Engineering, Planning and Contract Management. I love to teach and will always make an extra effort to make sure students do well, especially when preparing for certifications or licensures. I will put a great deal of extra effort to help students having trouble in any course and provide the extra time. I was a Department Chair at Mandl College of Allied Health and developed various curricula including Computerized Medical Billing, Medical Coding, Medical Billing, Medical Law and Ethics, Computer Concepts, and Healthcare Accounting. As a college professor for more than 12 years I have taught all medical coding for preparation for AAPC and AHIMA exams. I have even taught ICD-10-PCS coding for those that want to do inpatient coding which is not taught at most universities because it's not required for certification. I have taught at Florida Career College, Fortis College, and Mandl College of Allied Health. I also advised students on career opportunities, resume' preparation and interviewing. I have also taught advanced anatomy and physiology and microbiology to nursing, medical assistant, radiology technicians and licensing and certification for all. I have taught medical law and ethics, business administration and developed curricula and taught college accounting for over 7 years.
As a trainer for large healthcare organizations as a consultant I have developed webinars and have presented to clinicians, executives and boards.
