About Me

Working with children has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. I am a retired 4th grade teacher from Summit County, CO. I began my career while living overseas in Angola, Africa. While living there, I opened the first preschool at Luanda International School. After moving back to the US; I began teaching in Colorado as a special needs para-professional before receiving my certified teaching license in elementary education K-6. I taught 2nd grade for two years before finishing another 7 in 4th grade. After moving to Georgia, I began working for Tutor Shop for 3 years in the local schools and remotely for another 3 years. I enjoy teaching all subject, but specialize in Language Arts, Reading and Math. Being a mother of two adult children and teaching for over 20 years; I've learned patience, compassion, being a good listener, and clear communication are key to the success of all students. I look forward to working with your student to enrich their educational experience.
