I graduated from The Ohio State University. I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Chemistry. Since graduating I have been working in a laboratory setting dealing mostly with wastewater and water samples. Through my work with wastwater/water samples and my work on wastewater plants I have learned how important these plants are to the health of our communities and the environment. I have mainly tutored individuals attending high school and college. My philosophy is tutoring needs to be individualized and I make sure to take the time to get to know each student to assess how they learn. I use my assessment to tailor my tutoring sessions for each student to help them learn in a fun and engaging way! Outside of work and tutoring I put my Chemistry degree to work by baking amazing desserts! I am not afraid to try new and exciting recipes in the kitchen...after all baking is chemistry you can eat.
Undergraduate Degree: Ohio State University-Main Campus - Bachelor in Arts, Chemistry
My interest/ hobbies are baking, sewing, hiking, and learning about water/wastewater processes. Baking has always be a hobby of mine because it allows me to experiment and try new combinations. Plus unlike in a chemistry lab I can eat what I make. Sewing is calming for my and allows me to be creative in a different form than baking. Hiking gets me out doors and allows me to see nature as it is, which helps me clear my head and realize that life doesn't have to be complicated. Water and wastewater are fascinating to me because what better way to ensure the health and safety of our environment than to clean the water we use everyday.
