I grew up in Germany, and since returning to the U.S., I have not lost the passion to teach the language and culture of Germanic countries. In past years, I have taught (still teach in small groups at the elementary level) various subjects 1-on-1 or in a small group setting and enjoy this format the most - also because it is most effective.
Whether you are stumped by the three different words for 'the', confused about dative or accusative, want to understand German literature, or are simply looking for conversation practice prior to a trip to Europe, I can help. I have lots of additional reading and cultural materials, and we can include current events in lessons. From elementary children to senior adult, I can help you meet your goals as they relate to the German language. Fangen wir an!
Outside of working in small groups, I am involved with youth sports and church activities; I also love to read about current events and relax with fictional stories. Time permitting, I hit the bike trails around town.
