What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to engage each student using creative methods that foster intellectual inquiry and interest.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I'd like to get a sense of what the student is struggling with and try to understand the difficulty so we can best address it.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

Independent learning is all about problem solving. So, I would show the student how to overcome difficulty by giving them the tools to work out problems on their own.
