I graduated from UConn (Go Huskies!) in 2018 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree. While at UConn I majored in biological sciences and minored in physiology and neurobiology. This past year I got my Master of Sciences degree in biology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA and am currently working at The Jackson Laboratory as a Clinical Genomic Technologist. I am also a licensed EMT and have been volunteering for two years now! My approach to tutoring has always been taking a practical approach and putting the concept in terms the student is able to understand. I have a lot of energy and love teaching, which are things I will bring to every student I tutor! In my spare time I enjoy working out, watching sports, and reading about new scientific advances.

She is registered with the ARRT in both radiography (R) and cardiac interventional radiography (CI).Throughout her career as a technologist, she's worked with students in the clinical setting, fostering both clinical skills and confidence in their abilities to thrive in the clinical environment. Her career began at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth where she gained extensive experience in trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopy, and outpatient general imaging. She was selected to create the state compliant imaging quality control protocols and implement them at the main hospital and 9 clinical sites. She is genuinely passionate about developing technologists during their schooling and registry process.She tutors all aspects of radiologic technology from basic courses to registry review and remediation, anatomy, scientific/technical writing, biology, medical terminology, and other skills necessary to functioning in an allied health or STEM field. She has a passion for both radiation biology and image quality assessment including equipment function and structure and clinical image quality assessment.She's experienced in working with students from varied backgrounds and has a deep understanding for the necessity to adapt the material and teaching method to each student based on their learning needs. She has experience in adapting materials for dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and ADHD.

I have been teaching literature and writing courses for seventeen years. I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from NYU, and I went on to complete a Ph. D in English at Stony Brook University. I am extremely passionate about my subject. I love interacting with my students, and helping them to feel more confident in their reading and writing skills. I have been helping students to navigate the college admissions process, including preparing for standardized tests and writing the college essay, since I began teaching. My primary motivation is to do anything I can to help each student accomplish his or her goals .

I am a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with my degree in biology and religion. Following undergrad I obtained my certification in clinical microbiology from Saint Louis University. I worked at Quest Diagnostics for 4.5 years and while at Quest I obtained my Master's degree in Public Health with a Concentration in Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness. While I was in school I spent four summers as a camp counselor. Additionally, I have experience teaching seminars with adult student and my peers. I am currently a full time infection preventionist at a hospital. which is a job that requires an education focused mindset as I am always teaching best practice and reminding practitioners of their duties to protect patients from infection. It may come as no surprise that my ideal subject to teach is biology or microbiology as they are both my passions. I've spent many years learning the theory and then putting that theory to practice. My outgoing personality and passion for education is evident when first meeting me. I aim to use these qualities about myself to engage my students and get them excited about learning. Outside of work I enjoy reading fiction books, going to lots of outdoor events, and finding new recipes to make.

I am a two-time graduate of the University of Oklahoma. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in Military Science and Constitutional Studies in 2015. I recently received my Master's in Adult and Higher Education in December of 2021. I have been avidly involved in residence life through collegiate housing for about 5 years now. I am now an Army veteran with 8 years of completed service time where I served as an HR Officer gaining proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.My tutoring experience ranges from tutoring my younger siblings to collegiate youth and adults. I have experience working with student-athletes as I served as a housing coordinator for OU Athletics. I have been tutoring via Varsity Tutors for a year now and, while I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English Language and Literature, Spanish, US/World History and Government. I have been studying Spanish since the 6th grade and I was minoring in it in college until I changed my degree path so I can tutor up to about a Spanish 2 or 3 level. After receiving my BA in History with a focus on Modern American History, I entered the business world, yet still continued to tutor for about five years. Now that I have 10+ years of professional experience, I have been lucky to travel (both for work and leisure) to seventeen countries, and counting! I have experience tutoring a broad range of subjects, but I am most passionate about Math and History. I am diligent about organization, and feel it is the key to success (in academia and otherwise!)
