I enjoy helping students and peers find their voice through their writing. I have experience both teaching and tutoring in a variety of settings. In high school, I taught a class and discovered how rewarding it was to help students grow more comfortable sharing ideas and developing their own voices. Working with students, I prioritize a collaborative environment and creating a personal style. I want people to feel comfortable asking questions and assert their voice. I believe that writing becomes much easier and more rewarding when students feel genuinely engaged with what they are saying, so I like to encourage incorporating personal interests to writing. For fun, I love reading, film, chess and hockey! I do not just hope to help students improve academically, but find the value of the humanities.
