About Me

I've always been curious about how people think -- how we make sense of the world and how hard it can be to explain what we really mean. Writing is such a big part of that. I know how frustrating and overwhelming it can feel to look at a blank page and not know where to start. I graduated from NYU with honors with an interdisciplinary background in Psychopathology and Media. Throughout high school and college, I often found myself helping classmates brainstorm, revise, and strengthen their essays. I've always genuinely enjoyed being the person people come to when they're stuck or unsure how to organize their thoughts. I don't see tutoring as "fixing" someone's writing; I see it as helping you say what you actually want to say, clearly and confidently. Sometimes that just means slowing down, talking through your ideas, and finding the structure together. No two students think the same way, and that's what makes writing meaningful. My goal is to help you develop your own voice, not replace it with me. We'll focus on clarity, structure, and strong arguments, but always in a way that still feels like you. At the same time, I understand that writing often has to meet specific expectations, whether that's responding directly to a prompt, matching a teacher's rubric, or tailoring a college essay to a particular school. Part of my approach is helping students thoughtfully adapt to those requirements without losing their sense of self. I want sessions to feel supportive and low-pressure. You can ask questions, rethink ideas, and admit you're stuck --- that's all part of the process. My goal is for you to leave feeling clearer, more capable, and proud of what you wrote.
