About Me

I am an experienced tutor and educator with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Chemistry Minor from Alcorn State University with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I specialize in Adult Literacy, Creative Writing, Reading and Writing support for Elementary through High School students, and test preparation for both High School and College students. My tutoring approach focuses on meeting each student where they are and helping them grow with patience, encouragement, and customized learning strategies. " Obstacles II Opportunity." is my focus for over coming challenges. I believe every student has untapped potential, and I work to build their confidence while strengthening academic skills. Whether supporting reading comprehension, writing proficiency, or preparing for exams, I make learning engaging and meaningful. I provide targeted test preparation support, helping students develop study strategies, enhance critical thinking, and build the confidence needed to succeed on standardized tests, entrance exams, and classroom assessments. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy writing poetry and exploring new literary genres interests I often weave into lessons to inspire creativity and deeper understanding. My goal is not only to help students perform well academically, but also to cultivate a lasting passion for learning!
