About Me

As a registered architect and president of my own residential and planning architecture firm, I bring over 23 years of professional experience in both residential and commercial design. With a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and minors in Visual Arts and Construction Management from Roger Williams University, my career has been defined by a deep passion for design, a commitment to innovation, and a dedication to mentoring the next generation of creative professionals. Throughout my career, I've consistently found fulfillment in guiding junior designers and interns helping them navigate the complexities of architectural practice from concept development to technical execution. I take a student-centered approach to teaching, grounded in real-world applications, with an emphasis on helping learners build both creative confidence and technical proficiency. Whether working through the fundamentals of architectural drawing or exploring advanced design tools like Revit, Photoshop, or SketchUp, my goal is to meet each student where they are and support their growth in a way that's both practical and inspiring. My artistic background informs much of my teaching philosophy. I have participated in several art exhibitions and work across a wide range of traditional media, including painting, charcoal, ink, pencil, color markers, acrylics, and oil. I believe that a strong foundation in visual communication and hand rendering enriches the design process and empowers students to express their ideas more effectively. Fluent in Spanish, I'm able to support a diverse range of students and communicate complex concepts clearly across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Whether mentoring aspiring architects or supporting students in visual arts, I bring a collaborative, encouraging, and process-driven mindset to every learning environment. Ultimately, I am excited to bring my passion for design, teaching, and mentorship to a tutoring role helping students develop the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to succeed in their creative pursuits.
