About Me

My name is Nicholas Whiteree, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, I specialize in Algebra, AP Calculus, and Statistics, consistently achieving top scores on AP exams. My teaching philosophy emphasizes fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts instead of mere memorization. I strive to help students grasp the "why" behind the math, empowering them to approach problems with confidence. My passion for mathematics drives me to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment, where I focus on developing critical thinking skills that extend beyond the classroom. I hope I can share my deep love of mathematics with everyone I meet in order to spread my love of math across the world. In my free time, I enjoy mentoring my younger sister in math, playing chess competitively, and coding, all of which enhance my ability to connect with and inspire my students.
