- I encourage my students to ask questions, think critically, and connect what they're learning to real-world applications.
- While I'm happy to tutor any life science subject, microbiology is my favorite.
About Me
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry from Oregon State University, as well as Master's degrees in Microbiology from Arizona State University. I've taught microbiology while in graduate school and have recently worked as a private tutor for students ranging from grade school to high school. My professional background includes work in immunology, cancer research, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals, allowing me to integrate practical, real-world examples into my teaching. I find it endlessly fascinating and deeply relevant, and I love helping students see its importance in medicine and daily life. My goal is to empower students to feel confident and fully equipped to understand even the most complex topics. In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading, and watching my kids play soccer.
Hobbies & Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading about nutrition and health, and learning more about diet and exercise – all while cheering on my kids at their soccer games.
