About Me

Nicole Willett Science Educator and Communicator With over 20 years of experience as a science educator and communicator, I bring a deep passion for inspiring curiosity and understanding in the sciencesespecially biology and astronomy. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Astronomy, and I've spent my career making complex scientific concepts accessible, exciting, and relevant to learners of all ages. I currently work with the Mars Society, where I combine my background in science education with my enthusiasm for space exploration to promote STEM learning and critical thinking. Whether I'm teaching students about the intricacies of the human body or the mysteries of the cosmos, my goal is always to ignite a sense of wonder and empower students to confidently explore the world around them. My teaching style is engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student's learning style. I love integrating visual aids, real-world applications, and interactive activities to make lessons memorable and meaningful. In addition to my academic background, I bring creative energy from my 40 years of experience as an artist and muralist, often using artistic approaches to help visualize and reinforce scientific ideas. As a lifelong learner and mentor, I believe that science literacy is essential and achievable for everyone. I'm excited to work with students through Varsity Tutors and help them build both knowledge and confidence in the sciences.
