About Me

A great teacher teaches to maximize their impact on the learning lives of all students. A great tutor uses strategies and resources to meet the individual needs of the learning lives of their students. I've worked with students for over seven years, both through tutoring and teaching in Ontario's public school system. I obtained my education degree as well as my Bachelor of Arts degree in French as a Second Language from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. It is there where I learned how to teach French as well as a variety of other subjects to students between the ages of three up until adult education. I truly believe that each student is unique and has their own perspective of the world and how they choose to learn within it. In my work as a tutor, I have a passion for helping others to learn and improve themselves. My ultimate goal is to advocate for continuous lifelong learning by helping students improve, getting and staying organized, setting new expectations, making honest assessments, and improving their long-term goals and study habits. I prioritize students' individual needs, fostering an environment where they take responsibility for their own learning journey. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy running and going on long nature walks with my dog! I also enjoy reading and writing and continuing to learn new things everyday!
