Marisa
- I am a true interdisciplinary; growing up in Ohio, I excelled in humanities, sciences, and math.
- Much of my free time at UVA was spent serving as a historical and admissions tour guide, and leading an oral history initiative.
About Me
I have always enjoyed learning as much as possible, including studying Chinese, Spanish, and French, enrolling in over a dozen AP and IB classes, and graduating at the top of my class. I went on to study computer science and global studies with a concentration in security and justice at the University of Virginia as an Echols scholar. I moved to New York three years ago, where I have spent time working for a start up as a software engineer, and pondering when the right time to go to grad school is. I am happiest tutoring a wide variety of subjects, but have a soft spot for math. I enjoy working with students who find math intimidating or overwhelming, and helping them unlock their confidence and maybe even a bit of their own love for math!
Hobbies & Interests
In my free time, I enjoy dog sitting, painting, hosting dinner parties, and going on a run in my neighborhood.
