Hi there! I am a recent graduate from The University of Michigan where I completed a Bachelor's of Science is both Mathematical Sciences and Statistics. During my time at Michigan, I had the absolute pleasure of being part of the Math Corps branch at the University. For the last two years, I have provided insightful mathematics tutoring by leading teams of middle and high school students, as well as working one on one with students that require more individualized help. This has given me experience teaching students with ADHD and ASD. I take pride in fostering a supportive learning environment rooted in social justice while instilling a passion for mathematics and equitable educational opportunities. I understand that math is a difficult subject for most people, and most kids can be very easily discouraged from the subject. I have seen firsthand that the support of a caring mentor in these cases can foster self-worth and courage. Furthermore, I have identified principles that I can leverage to create impact with students. Celebrating both individuality and diversity ensures children are part of a community that is mutually supportive and caring. Expecting only the best for and from the students creates a learning environment where there is communal responsibility. Humor is essential to every child's wellbeing, and can form very powerful bonds. Through these, I aim to provide a close relationship which guarantees direct support throughout their educational journey. The mentoring style that I have found works best for me and the kids is one that is focused on building relationships with the students. I enjoy working through curriculum with students to find what makes them excited about math and confident in their skills. I look forward to working with you and your child!

In my free time, I enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts! I knit, crochet, make jewelry, and do cross-stitch to name a few. I also enjoy playing video games, currently I have been playing through some of the Zelda games. I try to practice yoga everyday as well, even just for 15 minutes. Finally, I have a cat named Albert whom I love more than anything :-]
