I have a dual bachelor's degree in music and English from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I also studied computer science. I also have a Master of Science in Learning Design and Technology from UMGC. I started my career as a web developer and Internet consultant who worked for small businesses as well as major entertainment companies such as Castle Rock and Warner Brothers. I am also a writer and editor, and I excel at helping students improve their writing skills. Additionally, I play a number of instruments, including saxophone, which I majored in at UMich (teacher: Don Sinta), guitar, ukulele, piano, recorder, and more. I used to perform comedy improv weekly in Los Angeles and I enjoy bringing some humor and fun into my teaching when appropriate.
