About Me
I have my bachelor's degree in Integrative Studies and Leadership and a master's degree in Secondary Education specializing in Social Studies. Being able to support students in their learning journey and witnessing their growth and development brings me immense joy. Education opens doors, fosters critical thinking, and equips individuals with the tools they need to navigate the world. In my experience working with students, I've found it incredibly rewarding to see them overcome challenges, grasp new concepts, and become more confident in their abilities. Whether it's through tutoring, mentoring, or providing guidance, being able to contribute positively to a student's academic and personal growth is fulfilling beyond measure. I love teaching Social Studies because it involves critical thinking and make connections over centuries. It involves more then just history- law, government, psychology, sociology, seeing patterns over time and growth of human society. We also get to talk about cultures, real world relevance and promote civic engagement. My teaching philosophy to get students responsible for their own learning and fill in the gaps and explain things in a way that makes social studies fun.
