About Me

Hello! My name is Eliana and spanish is my first language. I am a native Spanish speaker and I grew up in Colombia. I believe teaching is a really wonderful way to connect with other people and I am passionate about helping others learn. I have been teaching Spanish professionally for over 7 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Atlantic University in Colombia. I have experience teaching Spanish in the United States. I take pride in my work and I genuinely love seeing my students have breakthroughs with the language. As a second language learner myself (I am currently studying English) I understand the challenges but also the joy and satisfaction of learning a new language. I believe our ability to communicate with each other is such a big part of what makes us human and I love helping my students reach their language goals. I believe in a focus on conversation in our lessons. We can study grammar, but I want us to achieve fluency through speaking. You're not paying money for time with a native speaker just to be given worksheets and grammar drills. We can practice all skills.
