- I am passionate about teaching computer science classes and helping students find the joy in the intricacies of code.
- I find the best way to teach students is to begin with a short lesson/refresher and complete examples in the I Do, We Do, You Do format.
About Me
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Intercultural Communication. I am also in the accelerated BS-MS CS program at UCF, meaning I am completing my Bachelor's and Master's at the same time and will graduate with both in 2026. I was a student with Varsity Tutors in high school and completed SAT and Calculus tutoring through the program. It was with my tutors that I was shown the difference tutoring can make in someone's life and was encouraged to tutor students as part of my school's chapter of Mu Alpha Theta (Math National Honor Society) and Science National Honor Society. Additionally, I was a teacher assistant at the Museum of Science and History for their Discovery Camp program focusing on STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering and math) activities. Computer classes go hand in hand with math and as I have completed Calculus 3 and Matrix and Linear Algebra, I enjoy teaching students the logic and theory behind advanced computations. In my spare time, I love to go on walks with my cats Lovely and Ammu (they are harness trained), foster kittens, read, bike, and paint.
Hobbies & Interests
My professional interest is to work for bionic companies who create accessibility technologies for children, pets, and adults. Personally, when possible, my cats and I try to get outside and go on hikes or bike rides. Otherwise, I love to read a variety of books, but I gravitate towards mythological and fantasy novels (Percy Jackson and the Olympians is my all-time favorite). I also enjoy painting and crocheting, with the occasional dabble in other creative activities such as embroidery or cross-stitching.
