2+ years of tutoring
Thomas
- I am a fourth-year medical student at LUCOM. I took Step 1 and COMLEX Level-1 the first year that they were P/F and passed both easily.
- This year I took Step 2 CK and COMLEX Level 2, scoring 260+ and 670+, respectively.
About Me
Hello! After taking these exams I immediately began freelance tutoring. My first student saw a 69 point increase on his Step 2 score over the course of 2 months. While I enjoy the small subset of students that I still tutor on my own, I wanted a platform where I could reach more students. My belief is that students in medical school don't need hours of one-on-one tutoring. They simply need to be told what to do and when to do it. There is a ton of information to cover in medical school. One-on-one tutoring becomes useful for the specific concepts that the student is struggling with. This ensures that we are spending the most time on the difficult topics, and not wasting time on easier/low yield topics. I have a system and approach that has proven successful thus far. I believe that my success on Step 2 was due to my ability to develop a schedule, execute the tasks, and make readjustments as necessary along the way I can't wait to hear from you and help you in achieving your Step 2 goals.
