I taught elementary school for 19 years, giving me experience with special needs, speech issues, ELLs, and learning disabled students. I then began teaching online, which I have done for 7 years. I have taught all ages from preschool through adults. I especially love teaching reading to struggling elementary students. I love to show students that they can learn to read! I enjoy building a relationship with my students. I feel this is important because when children are comfortable and respected, they can learn more easily. I have a calm, patient teaching style and am enthusiastic about any age student from preschool to high school. I cannot wait to work with you!

My favorite hobby is reading any type of book. I also love playing with my puppy, cooking, and baking. My husband and I have 3 adult children who are the best part of our lives. We are so proud of them! Our family loves spending time outside doing yard work, fishing, camping, boating, and enjoying nature. My dream day would include teaching, cooking, reading, and spending time with our family.
