About Me

Every person deserves an education, and every student deserves to be taught it well. There are so many people around the world who want to learn music but have never found a teacher that truly makes them love it. Or, some students have teachers that make them hate music. My job is to make sure that whatever my students choose to do with music, they are not only learning in the process but enjoying it. I am a recent graduate of the University of North Texas College of Music with a Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance Major with a focus in Violin. I am teaching general music, basic music theory, voice, violin, and piano here at varsity tutors! Math has always been my favorite subject growing up. I've always intertwined music and math which is one of the reasons why I'm a huge nerd of music theory. In one of my music education classes, my colleagues and I went to an elementary school where we taught students a lesson plan that we designed. In that class, we learned how to design lesson plans based on the students' age groups. I also did a theatre camp for seven seasons where I had plenty of experience helping out the younger performers. I have been teaching since the summer of 2022. I love to learn from my students as much as they learn from me.
